Testing was done on the following rig:
AMD XP 2600+
Leadtek KCNR18 Nforce 2
Corsair 512mb 3700 DDR
Sapphire Radeon 9600XT
Maxtor 20 gig HD
Liteon 16*10*40 CDRW
Testing was done by running the computer on idle and full mode with Sisoft Sandra 2004 running cpu burn in on full mode.
5V is still at acceptable voltage but what about the 12V then?
This is really depressing to see. Only 11.17 V at the 12 V rail and it's easily beaten by the SilenX PSU.
This is a dissapointment for me since the power supply was very nice this far.
Conclusion:
This power supply looks very very nice but as you know looks are not everything. We could not seem to get the power supply to perform very good at all.
The 12V rail is just to low for me to be able to give this a good grade. I don't know if we got a bad PSU or what but 11.17V is just to far away from 12V.
It's SATA ready and very quiet which is a nice addition and it also looks good but this is only enough to give it a 3 out of 5.
