Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 IDE and SATA
It's harddrive review time here at rbmods tonite. We have some sweet drives from Seagate called Barracuda 7200.7. Also we have one IDE and one SATA; both which are
on 160 gig that will be compared to each other. And we also have an older 20 gig drive to show the difference in older and newer drives. We have some sweet benchmarking ahead
with Sisoft Sandra, Pcmark, Hdtach etc etc so stay tuned so you can see how fast the SATA drives really are :)
About Seagate:
When Seagate was founded in 1979, it was the first company to build 5.25-inch hard disc drives specifically for the PC. And while it may have seemed like a minor milestone at the time, in reality the introduction of Seagate's hard disc drives helped fuel the PC revolution, and the world has never been the same. Suddenly, it was possible to quickly and easily store and access data like never before, giving people access to unprecedented amounts of information and eventually giving rise to developments like the Internet. The entire computing landscape changed dramatically and evolved to a point today where computing and digital information have become part of our everyday lives. For 24 years Seagate has been developing the technology and manufacturing the products that helped make it all happen.

The harddrives are probably the the most fragile parts you can have in a computer so during the shipping it's very important that they are very well packed. These Seagate drives were very well packed
when they arrived and I doubt they could be much better packed than this. We got one SATA and one IDE drive both on 160 GB each so this will be very interesting to see which drive is faster.
