Sapphire X600 pro PCI-Express video card
UT 2003 Botmatch:
On botmatch the numbers are pretty similar even though the FX5900 is slower than the rest.
UT 2003 Flyby:
In flyby we can see the normal ranking. The FX card is faster than the X600 card which it's supposed to be but the X600 is faster than the
FX5750 card so this seems to be a good card in the middle class.
Doom3:
I seriously have to say that there is something wrong with the drivers since this card should not perform like this
in Doom 3.
Overclocking:
The core comes at 400 mhz and the memory at 300 mhz. What can we do with these then?
We were able to get the core running at 500 without artifacts in our ATI tool overclocking program.
The memory on the other hand ran at 360 mhz. Something we have to notice is that it was close to 25 degrees celsius in the room which is above normal.
Conclusion:
Well what to say about this card? I think there are some driver problems with this new card still.
The card performs good though to be a 143$ card which gives it a very good price/speed ratio.
Something "amazing" with this card is that the cooler fan is very quiet which in my eyes is a very good thing if you run a quiet rig.
I would go for this card if I would be in the market for a good cheap video card for my new PCI-E rig.
Overall we give this 4 out of 5 for a good card that performs well and has a good price/speed ratio.
