Sapphire 9100igp RS300-AA38 motherboard
Well I have been reviewing a bunch of video cards from Sapphire but had never heard anything about their motherboards before.
They were nice enough to send us one that we will be giving away after this review. It's their ATI chipset board called 9100IGP.
We are going to test it against a well known Gigabyte board that performs very well. We will also see how this board overclocks.

Well it's time to have a look at how the package looks for a start. The package is very nice and has specifications on the front and on the back where they have placed a picture of the motherboard
and arrows to show all the parts on it. It will be very interesting to review this board since it has a ATI chipset and to see how it can perform against a Intel chipset.

Included with the board we have a manual, cd with drivers and software, I/O back plate, SATA cable, IDE and a floppy cable. Seems like Sapphire have decided to save up some money
on not sending two IDE cables etc.

There are also some extra ports that you can mount above a PCI slot. For example there are firewire ports and tv out ports.
Well what about the motherboard? Well on the right there is a picture of a overview about the motherboard. It has a nice color scheme that would look very good behind a plexi window.

P4 motherboards doen't have a problem with big coolers since all of them fit in the socket without any problem. There is four ram slots that support up to 2 gb.
I think the "standard" on most motherboards is 3 Gb but I doubt anyone needs more than 2 Gb :)
