By removing the two small screws on the bottom of the enclosure you will be able to remove the inside of the enclosure. Here you can see that you can mount two SATA drives by just pushing them into place. Basically the connectors will connect when you push the drive in and mount the screws. No cables are needed in this case, only a screwdriver. After you have mounted the screws just push the inside of the enclosure back in and tighten the screws on the bottom.

The left picture shows the performance on the SATA drive in the enclosure and the right one shows a IDE drive connected straight to the motherboard.
There is a quite a bit of performance difference as expected since USB2 is way slower. Although I feel that this enclosure is quite fast for being USB2 and I don't mind using it at all even for bigger files.

A last look to see what Sisoft Sandra thinks about all this, and as we can see the performance is quite different but it's not a bad performance though for being USB 2.
Conclusion:
On the cd with drivers and software you get a backup software to backup your drive with. Although it does not work with Vista you can find a working version on their website for Vista.
Overall this is a very nice SATA enclosure, notice the SATA part as it does not support IDE drives. It holds up to two SATA drives and it still runs somewhat quiet with the 40 mm fans that it is equipped with. Performance wise it is doing good and the computer found the unit right away after plugging it in. We ran our tests with Western Digitals latest 250GB 16 MB drive.
Overall I am quite satisified with the results and the only complaint that I can come up with is the fan noise. My solution to that problem is to change the fans to 60 mm or to a high quality fan manufacturer that will get the noise down.
Pros:
+ Nice looking
+ Easy to use
+ Holds 2 drives
+ Good backup software
