Qpad CT Mousepad Review

A few years ago we looked at a few Qpad mousepads and since then these pads have been used by us. I have not been able to find another pad that works as well as these and and because of this we are going to look at the new CT pad which is available in various sizes and colors. This new CT pad lets you choose between a soft or hard top depending on the thickness you choose.

About Qpad:

QPAD built its success on a grassroots commitment to the gaming community. Like you, we thrive in the madness of competition and embrace the free spirit of gaming. Our sponsorship of the Q Tour, communities, cups, tournaments, teams and LAN parties reflects this commitment. The knowledge we’ve gained has fed into our development of high quality products that have a great performance and given many a winning edge.

Qpad have always rolled up their mousepads in a tube and I find this way very space saving and it also protects the pad well during shipping. On the bottom left you got a Qpad logo but otherwise the design looks really cool and futuristic.

Now we got the thick pad for review which cost about 26€ which I find quite reasonable if we look at other pads on the market. This large pad is alot bigger than any other mousepad on the market which shows useful in gaming. The only bad thing about the size is that you need a big table but because of this there are smaller ones available.

The bottom itself is made out of some type of rubber material that will make sure that pad does not move around on the table. I tried with both my hands to push it around but I was not to succesfull.

Here we got a closer look at the bottom of the pad. The right picture shows the size of the pad, I put my cellphone a Nokia N73 on the pad to show the huge size that the large pad has.

Testing:

To get the ultimate experience Qpad recommends some mouse glidez to the mouse. You can buy glidez from them for about 10€. Of course I got a package for the review and we mounted them on the Razer Deathadder mouse that we using for this test.

We started with some normal Internet usage, surfing websites and some general work online and the first feeling that struck me was that the mouse slides over the pad. I barely had to move the mouse for it to slide around on the pad. Don't get me wrong, I mean this in a totally positive way! I didn't have to push the mouse forward like other pads I have tested.

On to the gaming test, we played some fast FPS games and some generic games to see the sensitivity the pad offers and I can really feel a huge difference in FPS gaming. I am far away from good at FPS games but this pad makes me a tad better. I feel no friction from the pad and trash and dirt doesn't get stuck on the pad. To be fair the glidez makes a difference in FPS gaming but in normal use the mosue slides around as good as with them on so save your money if you don't plan on playing fast games. The pad is a must have though, I get the feeling that they have even improved the pads because the surface doesn't feel excatly as the older pads. How do I know this? I got a brand new older pad laying around and I think that this new CT pad feels alot better.

Conclusion:

I think that Qpad has done it again. Their new CT pad is just extremely sensitive and allows you to maximize your gaming experience. There is no friction between the mouse and pad at all, the pad is also soft which makes it comfortable to lean your arm on for longer periods. It is not expensive either compared to other pads on the market. I have used my old Qpad for the past 4 years and if you count out the 27€ on 4 years it ends up being very cheap. Now I don't personally guarantee that they last that long for you. Overall I think I have said everything I have to say and I can not do more than give this pad out editor´s choice award for probably the best mousepad on the market.

Pros:

+ 3 sizes
+ 2 colors
+ Soft
+ No friction perfect for gaming
+ Rubber bottom

Cons:

- Cant see any this far
