It is hard to see on this picture but the bottom of the block kind of has small rainbows going over it from the machine that made them. It does not do that much to the performance but it still probably makes it less than it should be with a plain bottom.

Testing:

A64 3500+
Abit AV8
GF4 MX420
Corsair 2x512Mb PC3200LL
OCZ PowerStream 520W

Pro-core
Eheim 1048
Evercool aluminum fan ~80cfm
Generic thermal compound

Ambient temperature was 24C and the water temperature was 26C. Testing was done by overclocking to 2497mhz at ~1,6V.

We have to remember that these numbers are with a pretty high ambient temperature and that we did not use Artic Silver 5. I still think that the temperatures we have here are very good even compared to my own system I'm running. With 1/2 fittings we could have ran bigger tubing which gives more flow and possibly lower degrees. The GPU block ran at idle, 29 and load, 33C which is very low even though it was not a fast card. Usually the video cards I have reviewed run around 32-35C idle so this was good.

Conclusion:

Well the numbers speak for themselves. I believe that we have excellent waterblocks on our hand and they would be close to perfect if the copper base had a better finish. It's a very nice kit here which looks good and performs well. All the hose clamps etc give you also a nice bonus so you don't have to buy them yourselves. The manual works great even though it's just a few pieces of paper but it holds all the information you need. We give this 4 out of 5 for a nice block that performs very well and also looks very good and is overall very high quality.

Pros:

+ Nice looking
+ Good performance
+ Good manual
+ Easy to mount

Cons:

- Copper base finish not as good as expected
- 3 barb design doesnt leave enough space for hose clamps

Red&Blackness gives it 4 out of 5 dots
