Plextor CDRW SCSI 40*12*40
Ok I have never done a cd burner review so gI'm giving it a shot now :) Plextor was nice and sent us a Scsi CDRW 40*12*40. This is the fastest SCSI burner in the world. We are going to have a closer look at this and see how it performs with readings from burned and original cds. And also some more testing on burn times etc so this should end up with quite a bit of testing so stay tuned :)

The Plextor CDRW came in a very nicely designed box that sure attracts people in the stores. On the back we have different locations where you can find Plextor offices. This CDRW does not include a SCSI card so you have to buy one if you dont already happen to have one. I got one for 40$ which is fairly cheap. This will be really interesting to see how it also performs so keep reading.

In the box itself we got a sound cable, empty CDR and CDRW cd. In the envelope there are manuals and a software cd and a Nero 5 cd. There was also a little plastic sack with screws so you can mount the drive in the case.

The player came in a plastic sack. The player had foam around it also to prevent it from breaking during transport. The front of the player is familiar as it has been used by Plextor for ages now :) I remember seeing this front or a similar one on cd burner like 4 years ago. In the front you got a headphone jack, volume control, leds to tell you what the write is doing and the open/close tray button along with the play/pause button if you play a music cd.
