OCZ DDR2 PC2-9200 Reaper HPC Edition
Even though DDR3 is slowly coming along we still decided to put out a DDR2 review as they still perform as well as DDR3 ram. Ocz sent us a sample of their latest Reaper kit. Other reviews have praised this ram kit and given it very good reviews so we look forward to sharing our thoughts with you readers about the performance here. We will compare the ram vs a Corsair kit and vs a Ocz kit tonight.

The product comes well packed as always when it comes to OCZ products. You can see how the ram looks like on the front as the cover is see through. On the back on the other hand you can read about the features this ramkit holds.

The new heatsinks on the ram have a bit different design from the older OCZ heatsinks. The heatsink itself is connected with heatpipes to a heatsink mounted above the ram. I think design works quite well, the heat is transfered from the memory to the heatsink, the heat does not stay on the heatsink but is transfered through heatpipes to the top heatsink which means a more stable and well performing ram stick.
On each stick there is a sticker which tells you what type of ram it is along with the latency and PN number. Do not remove this sticker or you will void your warranty.

Here are a few more random shots of the ram. The ram is a bit higher than standard ram sticks so you better check that they will fit in your case or on your motherboard.
