Mushkin XP2-8500 2GB DDR2 RAM Kit
Today we are focusing our review on a new memory kit from Mushkin. They sent us a sample of their latest XP2-8500 which we will compare vs some other high performing memory kits on the market.
Mushkin is well known for their high performing ram kits so this will most certainly be very interesting to see if they can live up to their name on this ram kit also.

The package is a standard memory cover, we can see the background paper though has the standard Mushkin colors; green and white. The ram heatsinks in this case are black, and I found one small flaw with them, when you try to remove them from the memory slots the heatsink tends to pop off. The clip doesn't seem tight enough to keep the heatsink in place.

The heatsinks are otherwise good quality except the clips that hold it together, they also look nice with the black color and the Mushkin print in the middle.
On each stick you see numbers which show you what type of memory stick it is. You can also do a search on the memory kits by imputing the numbers on the top right into the search engine on Mushkins website.

Even though most manufacturers add leds etc to their memory Mushkin has not done this, and in the end it comes to performance anyways so the leds are kind of useless in my opinion to.
