Mushkin Redline Xp2-8000 2x1GB memory kit
With all memory manufacturers going for DDR2 these days it's not weird that all sites slowly are starting to get samples of DDR2 with lower timings and better speeds. We got a sample from Mushkin this time, they sent us a kit that comes from the Redline series that has performed extremely well as normal DDR, therefore it will be interesting if they have been able to get the performance and speeds also on their new DDR2 kit.

If you look at their website on this ram kit you will see that it's supposed to be red, I got a green one though not that it matters but I don't want to have you confused. The ram was packed like normal ram kits are in a see through plastic cover, this is standard these days among many manufacturers.
On the back you you will find some information, and when you open up the piece of paper that the ram lays on you can read about Mushkin´s new power supply.

The heatsinks on this ram have a new design I have not seen before on any other ram. You can find a sticker on each ram stick that does hold the information about the specific memory stick. It tells you size, seriel number, and what type it is.

Final picture when they are mounted on the motherboard, something I have already noticed is that the heatsinks really keep these ram sticks cool.
Even under overclocking they never get really hot as others that I have reviewed. It's time for us to turn page and get on with the testing.
