MSI RX1950XT-VT2D256E-HD Videocard

Not everyone has 500$ to put on a videocard, but don't worry there's many good quality alternatives for them. The videocard manufacturers provide several different cards in various price classes. Tonight we will look at a card in the middle segment, which sells for around 300$ which is a more afordable price to some people. But how do they perform though? Can you get good speeds out of a more inexpensive card like this? Well we are going to test one of the latest cards from MSI, they sent us a sample of their middle class card the RX1950XT that in the papers look like a winner so stay tuned for todays review.

About MSI:

HDCP - High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection:

HDCP is a content protection specification to protect digital entertainment content across the DVI/HDMI interface. The HDCP provides a robust, cost-effective and transparent method for transmitting and receiving digital entertainment similar to DVI/HDMI-compliant digital displays. HDCP encrypts the data transmitted between the DVI/HDMI connector on the graphics adapter and the display. To provide this support, both the graphics adapter and the display need to have an HDCP transmitter and receiver respectively.

The card comes packed in a really nice box with a handle, on the front you can see a picture of a face and on the back you can read some information in different languages. Also on the box they have indicated some features that this card holds.

Inside the box you will find a manual, quick user guide, MSI Multimedia Beyond 3d cd, driver cd, and a full version of the popular game Heroes of Might and Magic V.

Cablewise there is also a few to choose from as you get two VGA to DVI adapters, Molex to PCI-E power cable, S-video cable, and two different output adapters.
