Logitech V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks

The mouse has a small compartment beneath that holds the batteries and also the receiver when you travel, this is a nice addition since it might be easy to lose the receiver otherwise, the bottom of the mouse clicks of by pushing one button.

I talked about the cool little feature when you click on the top button, it actually flips up all open documents on your screen so you can choose the one you need.

I find the document flip feature to be a great addition and I have started using it. It is so convinient when it shows all the open browsers and software with a picture.

Software:

The software from Logitech has always been easy to navigate in and use and this is the case once again. There is alot of various settings you can play around with but you don't need a manual to understand what you are going to do with them. The first part allows you to setup your mouse buttons and the wheel, everytime you click on a different button it will get a red border around it to mark which one you are working with.

The second menu will allow you to play around with the mouse spointer speeds, this is a crucial menu so you can set things up they way you like it. For example our old Logitech notebook mouse was on full sensitivity but this one we had to turn down to a third which shows that the technology has gone forward.

If you play alot of games the third tab/menu gives you the choice to setup the mouse for gaming. The fourth on the other hand will let you setup your scroll wheel, you have plenty of options on both vertical and horizontal scrolling. If you like to have a specific scroll speed in various programs you can set it to scroll faster in for example Internet Explorer and slower in Firefox.

The fifth and last menu will tell you how much you have left on your batteries. I find this to be a nice feature as you don't want to run out of batteries on the airplane or somewhere else that you have planned to work.

Conclusion:

I have had a Logitech Notebook for a few years and this new Nano really beats it without any problems. It is cordless, sensitive, and it's comfortable to hold even longer workdays. I gave the mouse a shot and it had no lagg or overall issues with FPS games at all. It was very comfortable to use during normal web surfing or while working in windows. Something very positive is that the receiver is cordless and very small so you can even leave it in the USB port or just store it in the mouse. I also liked the new software from Logitech and felt it was easy to setup the mouse for my needs.

In click to click mode the scroll wheel is noisy but in hyperfast mode the scroll wheel moves perfect without any noise. Overall though I am very satisifed with the mouse and will for sure keep on using with my laptop.

Pros:

+ Fits perfect in the hand
+ Document flip feature
+ Low battery comsuption
+ Small receiver

Cons:

- None this far
