Logitech diNovo Mini Keyboard Review

Installing the battery is easy and I think its very good work by Logitech when arranging for a small compartment for the USB transmitter.
The cover on the top comes handy as it protects the keyboard vs dust and it looks quite nice. The keyboard is small but the buttons are well marked and in the top right you got the touchpad which is the actual mouse. On the top left you got the mouse button itself so you can use one hand for the left click and one for the touchpad.

If we look first at the left picture we can see that there are two page buttons so you can easily jump page up and down. If you push in the FN button it will zoom instead so some of the buttons have two functions. This keyboard controls, volume, music and also works like a normal keyboard with windows button, tab, ctrl etc.
The right picture shows the right side of the keyboard where the touchpad is mounted, beneath it you got the enter key which also works as CTRL+ALT+DEL button. Under that there is a small round button with a window logo which is the media button since the keyboard also works a media center remote.

What I forgot to explain is that the touchpad works as a button also if you push it down. To the left above the back button you have the switch which will change the layout of the keyboard to the media center remote type of setup.
To illustrate the size of the keyboard I have placed it in a picture with a CD. This keyboard actually fits quite well in my hand so that is how small it actually is.

When the keys are lit orange it means that the keyboard is in touchpad mode, but when it is actually green it is in media center remote mode. If you got a HTPC but these modes will come in handy.
I have tested both modes in various tasks and found them to be very beneficial on a HTPC. This keyboard makes it very easy to use your HTPC and it saves alot of space comapared to a bulky keyboard and mouse setup.

The software that comes with this device is very easy to navigate through and it also lets you change all the settings that you will need to.
I mean if we look at the left picture with the mouse movement we can see that it even lets you add pointer acceleration, smart move etc even though it only has a touchpad.
The keyboard menu offers a bit more ofcourse since you will set the button actions. It will show which button and you can easily select the action for it.

The last menu is for the batteries, here you can see your battery status and also how many days or how many percent is left on the battery.
Conclusion:
This keyboard really has suprised me, at the first glance it really looked to small but I have now changed my mind. The layout they have chosen for the keyboard works very well, they have designed the mouse functions so they are on the sides while the buttons are still big enough to use for typing. Logitech have always managed to add the most necessary functions to the keyboard and still kept the size small by give another keyboard layout by a push of a button. The touchpad feels very ncie and high quality. The only real con that I have is that the price is quite high. Now to start with we can look at Microsofts media center keyboard which cost about 100$ and then this cost 150$. Personally I feel that this keyboard is worth the 50$ for it size and functions, but still I have to say that the price is quite high. Now if it drops down to 100$ it will be at a better price range that more people will be able to afford.
Overall though I am very pleased with this keyboard and I would easily have bought this for my HTPC setup when I got the cash. I will award this keyboard/mouse combo with a editors choice award for a high quality product that holds the functions for 3 devices in a small device that fits in your hand.
Pros:
+ Small
+ Easy to use
+ 3 devices in one
+ Good software
Cons:
- Price
Current Real Time Pricing
