Jays C-jays Headphone Review

We have previously reviewed a few pairs of earphones from Jays but today we are going to actually take a look at a real pair of headphones. This is a pair of really light weight headphones and they almost give a flimsy feeling when playing around with them but what will we think in the end?

About Jays:

The number of sold portable media players will increase up to 1 billion units per year in 2009 according to a research report from IDC. Bundled earphones will rarely match the qualitative sound that these units can produce. Neither will these earphones offer wanted features nor have the good quality and durability that the customer need. This is due to the fact that the cost for pre bundled accessories is generally held down.

JAYS, a Swedish privately owned registered company and international trademark specializes in designing, developing and marketing high quality earphones for an increased listening experience. JAYS first product d-JAYS reduces background noise and offer superior sound together with a comfort and durability that is unique. d-JAYS use micro armature technology originally based on a patent from 1914 by Henry Egerton, and today used in products for artists world wide.

A strong engineering team, highly creative and artistic Swedish designers and solid market knowledge are JAYS core strengths. This together with passion for music, and the belief that the customers want to get more out of their portable media players is the foundation that enables the company to deliver highly innovative and challenging quality products.

JAYS AB is based in Västerås with subsidiaries in San Fransisco and Hong Kong.

The headphones are very nicely packed in a very protective and nice looking container. On the back you can read about the specifications and on the bottom is a small box with accessories.

As I said earlier the headphones look kind of flimsy and small. With them you get a box though labeled accessories and this is where you will find all the adapters so you can use these headphones in most places. It also includes the ear cushions that we are going to take a closer look at.

You will get a 70 cm extension cord with gold plated connectors, you also get three sizes of ear cushions, stereo splitter and airline adapter. All of these are gold coated for maximum connectivity. The manual will explain some of the basic features for people that are beginners when it comes to HIFI.

Looking at the ear cushins we can see that there are three different sizes available. They slip on quite easy on the headphone and it's also easy to get them off. The smallest size is already mounted on the headphones while the other two sizes are nicely packed in the accessories box. The right picture shows a good look view of the smallest ear cushions, they are not uncomfortable to use even though they are quite thin.
