G.SKILL F3-12800CL7D DDR3 Memory Review
Today we look at the new DDR3 kit from Gskill. The F3-12800CL7D seems to be a middle class memory kit from Gskill that is supposed to perform very well, it is also equipped with a new heatsink that is also supposed to outperform the old design Gskill uses. Check out the rest of the review to see what speeds we can boost this ram kit to.

The plastic cover which holds the ram comes packed in a small cardboard box to give extra protection during shipping. Inside you will find a case badge and a small sticker along with the ram sticks.
These ram sticks have a new heatsink design from Gskill which they beleive very much in. It is going to be quite interesting to see what we can come up with heat wise after some overcloking. You don't have to worry if the ram sticks break as you get a lifetime warranty on them, just don't remove the sticker on each stick so you don't void the warranty.

Even though the ram sticks are equipped with a new heatsink it does not make them any bigger than they actually are with the old one so lets hope they will perform as good also.
Testing:
Intel QX6600 CPU
MSI X48
Asus 8600 GT
Maxtor 80GB HDD
OCZ GameXstream 700W
The following software was used during our testing phase, Sisoft Sandra X1, Everest Home Edition, Pcmark Vantage and SuperPi.
Overclocking was done both in bios and with the AI software provided with the Asus motherboard.
Sisoft Sandra XI, Single channel:

All memory sticks cap on the float buffer while the Int buffer differs a bit on each kit. The Gskill kit beats the Patriot with one single point while the Supertalent is a bit behind.
