Geeks Wii Remote Charging Dock Review
If you own a Wii, you’ve probably noticed that powering the Wii Remote using two AA batteries doesn’t last very long. I’ve gone through countless number of batteries, which seem to drain even when the remote isn’t in use. Thankfully, companies have developed rechargeable solutions make especially for the Wii. Geeks.com, popular online computer gadget reseller, offers one such a product, the Wii Remote Charging Dock. We are here to find out if this product is a good way to get around buying a ton of batteries for the Wii.

The Wii Remote Charging Dock comes well-packaged in a slim-looking package that is sized about the same as a Wii Remote. As you would expect, this product is only good for the Nintendo Wii Remote. I’m not sure if rechargeable AA batteries aren’t the best solution, since they can be used anywhere. But since that’s not the subject of this review, let’s move on.

Opening the package, we find the charging dock securely packaged in a cardboard box. Along with the charging dock and rechargeable battery, the product comes with a new battery cover and a USB power cord. The battery cover replaces the existing one on the Wii and allows you to charge the Wii without having to remove the battery, which is very convenient.

Taking a closer look at the dock, it has a very curvy/organic shape to it that looks pretty cool in my opinion. The dock has a blue LED in the front to indicate charging status and has soft pads on the bottom. Overall it fits the Wii remote very well. The power cord is connected in the back.
