Pioneer BDC-S02 Blu-ray & 12x6 DVD±RW DL SATA Drive (Beige)
Geeks provided us with todays review product, we are going to take a look at a Blu-Ray player that also is a dvd burner. If you don't know what Blu-ray is I recommend you Google for it as it is the new format that will replace DVD in the near future. Blu-ray players are dropping in price as the become more mainstream, we are going to compare picture quality today and also see how loud and how well this product works.

The player is available in either black or beige, our test sample is beige this time. The box it came in had a familiar Pioneer logo in the corner and a black blu-ray player pictured on the front. On the sides and back of the box there were specifications and features that you can also read above the pictures. Inside I found a bunch of manuals, warranty papers, and something that looks like a empty cd but it actually holds some software for the unit.

The unit looks like all the others dvd players on the market except this one has a small Blu-ray logo on the front bezel. It is the same standard 5.25 drive size, the top has a big sticker mounted on it with some model names, and other certifications that the unit holds.

As I said earlier this is a standard size 5.25 drive and on the sides there are four holes each for mounting this in your case.
The front is quite simple, you have logos all over the front for the discs the unti plays and you got a LED by the Pioneer logo which shows when the drive is working, the right side has the eject button to open up the tray.
