At a closer look you see how small this device is, four of my fingers together are the same size as the device. On each side of the device you will have different connectors. The left side holds the 2.5 IDE port.

The right side on the other hand holds the 3.5 IDE connector. On the bottom you will have the SATA port for the SATA cable from either your HDD or DVD drive.

On the top you got two small connectors, these are for the USB cable and the other small one is for the power cable adapter to either SATA or molex.
Earlier I said that on the top of the device different leds are mounted on the top. The right picture shows the leds in action. On the picture there is no power connected to the devices therefore neither the SATA or the IDE led is on, this is mainly to give you an idea how it looks. The picture also clearly shows that you can either connect the IDE adapter or connect the device straight into the USB device.
Testing:
Since this is a USB2 device we used a USB2 flash disk to compare it vs. We used a 231Mb file that we transfered between the computers harddrive and the drive conneceted to the USB device.
To transfer from the harddrive to the device drive, it took 15.3 seconds while the flash disk took about 12 seconds. To transfer from the device disk to the main harddrive took on the other hand a bit longer, 22.3 seconds while the flash drive took about 20 seconds. There is not a big difference and as we can see its the USB2 that is the bottleneck when it comes to harddrive speed on the device.
Conclusion:
This is a good product, it fills the role it's supposed to do. It's well priced and it's quite easy to use. The only con I can see thus far is the you get a few extra cables to your setup, although you will probably not use this device all the time. You will get both swedish and english instructions which will help you to install this device. Overall though I like this product and it's a one of a kind as it's made for Eksitdata as far as I know. Good job on a product that many on the market has a need of.
Pros:
+ Easy to use
+ Decent price
+ Well packed
+ Works with IDE and SATA
