A small package arrived from Eksitdata the other day and inside I found this and another product. This emergency charger is well packed in a plastic cover so you can see the product before buying it. On theback you can see that it includes adapters for both Ericsson and Nokia phones. There are adapters for other cellphone brands available also.

After opening it I found a small paper in Swedish giving me instructions on how to operate this product. The charger unit itself is cylinder shaped in a nice aluminum casing. The four adapters cables are for Nokia and SonyEricsson cellphones and will work with both older and newer phones as they have included both the new charger and old charger adapter for both brands.

The top of the cylinder is made of plastic and this is so you can see when it is actually charging the phone. It lights up with a red led when it is connected and charging. You can see how to connect the power adapters on the unit if you look closer on the right picture.

Remove the top cover of the charger and install the battery into the slot. This unit requires a double AA battery. Then all you have to do is to connect the cable to the cellphone and it will automaticlly start charging the phone.

This is just a close look to show you the red led and also that the cellphone lit up which means it's charging.

Conclusion:

This is a cool little unit and it really can save you if your cellphone runs out of battery. It is easy to use and it is also meets the RoHs standard. You will end up paying about 13$ for the unit but the difference is that you can talk while the unit is charging the cellphone. This is not possible with many of the same products on the market. I like this product and for sure keep using it in my travels. I want to recommend this little device which will probably save your day once or twice.

I charged my cellphone with this and I ended up getting 2 days worth of battery time or about 1 hour talktime. I guess it all depends on which battery you end up charging with as a Duracell might end up giving more power than a generic battery.
