Creative T6060 speaker system

It's time to check out one of the speaker kits used for the Fatal1ty card review we did a week ago. We got Creatives Inspire T6060 kit which is a 5.1 speaker system that according to the specifications seems to have some decent features. So what we did to test this kit out was to do some gaming and some sound testing to see what type of sound they are able to deliver.

About Creative:

Creative (NASDAQ: CREAF) is the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer and the Internet. Creative was founded in Singapore in 1981 with the vision that multimedia would revolutionize the way people interact with their PCs. Famous for its Sound Blaster sound cards and for launching the multimedia revolution, Creative is now driving digital entertainment on the PC platform with products like its highly acclaimed Zen and MuVo lines of digital audio players.

The company's innovative hardware, proprietary technology, applications and services leverage the Internet, enabling consumers to experience high-quality digital entertainment - anytime, anywhere.

Check out the Creative website for more info.

The product comes in a standard Creative box with the Creative logo on the left and pictures of the product on the front. Around the box you get specifications and features of the product itself and a few more pictures. The speakers are extremely well packed. Everything has its own boxes and it's wrapped in plastic also to prevent any scratches or dents on the speakers or its parts.

Lets check out the subwoofer to get a quick look at the probably most important part in this kit. On the left side you have the sub itself, in the front you have the flared port which allows a clearer bass sound. Try putting your foot in front of this port when playing music loudly, you will feel the air pumped out here. In the back you connect all the cables, the connectors are color coded for your convenience. You get a manual also that will guide you through this if needed. The top three go to the sound card, the two in the middle connect to the remote, and the bottom ones are the speaker connectors.

The wood casing on this sub gives you a better sound and the sub on the side is the one that will try to do the job. How it performs we will tell you later on in this review. Manuals are also included, and these are very well made as they explain very easily how to install everything and how to get it running.
