Corsair Flash Voyager Mini Review
We have in the past reviewed various kinds of Corsairs Voyager series, today we have their newest creation which is a bit smaller than the older Voyagers. Today we will look into the Voyager Mini that has some of the same features as its older brothers. The Mini is quite a bit smaller which will aim for a different market. This is still dent and drop resistant and should survive quite a bit of beating.

The product comes packed in a small plastic container which holds the usb drive and a small piece of cardboard that has the basic information about Corsair on it. Since this device is dent/drop resistant you don't have to worry about damage to the drive during shipping.

The front of the drive is covered with the same material as the normal Voyager, the back has a small sliding mechanism to push out the USB connector itself. As you can also see there is a small strap mounted on the drive so you can put it on your keychain or similar. The drive itself feels strong, I don't get that plastic feeling like I will break it any second as other smaller drives that we have tested in the past.

If we look at the chart we got from Sisoft Sandra we can see that versus its competitors this drive is a tad slower but it's nothing that I have personally noticed or been bothered about while using the drive.

Hdtach shows that this new mini drive is a tad slower than the 32GB Voyager we reviewed earlier but then on the other hand the classic Voyager is alot bigger than the Mini.
Conclusion:
This is a very small drive, about 1 inch compared to the 3 inch drives on the market. I personally think that this is a perfect size to have on the keychain and it also is able to take a beating from the keys. The performance is decent even though the older Voyagers are a bit faster but I think the size covers up for that. The drive I got is 4Gb so you might not need a super fast drive to transfer some files. Well packed, easy to use and easy installation (no drivers needed) so the only real con is the speed. You can get this unit for as low as 23,49$ which makes it quite cheap per megabyte.
