Corsair Twinx3x2048-1600 DDR3 Ram Kit
Today it is time to take a look at one of the DDR3 kits on the market. So far it has seemed that the ram costs more than it actually gives. The performance has been lacking and users have had to pay alot of money to get these types of kits. Lets see how well it performs and overclocks in tonights review.

The ram kit came in a standard plastic cover that protects the ram while shipping it to the customer. You can see that the heatsinks on this ram are quite big but they are passivly cooled which means less noise. On the back you can read about the heatsink specifications and some optional info.

The orange color on the stickers really go well together with the silver heatsinks. On each stick you got a sticker which on one side has the ram logo and on the other they got the specifications for the ram stick.
Overall the ram sticks are pretty much the same size as the Corsair Dominator sticks we review in the past, the question remains though will these ram sticks run hotter than the older DDR2 kit?
We will be comparing this ram kit vs the Supertalent ProjectX W1800 DDR3 kit. The following software was used during our testing phase, Sisoft Sandra X1, Everest Home Edition, Pcmark2005 and SuperPi.
Overclocking was done both in bios and with the AI software provided with the Asus motherboard.
Pcmark2005:
We start of our testing phase with a run of Pcmark2005 where we chose to run only the memory benchmark part of the software. We can here see that there is a slight difference in speed to the favor of the Corsair kit.
