Corsair 1024 Twinx 3200 XL memory
Tonite we have a memory kit from Corsair on the test bench. Awhile back we reviewed a several of their memorys so it will be nice to get back
to review some memory again. They sent us their newest Twinx3200XL kit which is supposed to be able to overclock well and run on really low latency.
Well let's work this out and see if it really does perform that well.
Testing was done with the following softwara, Aida32, Sisoft Sandra 2004, Pcmark2004.
We compared this memory to its older brother TwinX3200LL and overclocking was done in bios and stability was tested with Pcmark2004 runs.
Single channel, Sisoft Sandra2004 memory benchmark test:
Well there is a minimal difference when only running one stick of memory (512mb). Let's see what happens when we
use dual instead...
With dual channel running we have a bigger change in the testing numbers. Well let's look at some write and reading times in Aida32 instead.
Aida32:
Here we have a big difference as this new XL memory really shows its speed difference compared to its older brother.
Let's see what Pcmark2004 has to say in the memory benchmark it provides.
Pcmark2004:
Here again we have a difference, however the biggest difference was found in Aida32 which separated the read and write speeds.
Well it's time to check at some overclocking and latency testing.
