Coolit Freezone Cpu cooler
For a long time now watercooling has been an effective way of cooling down your computer and many have started using it. The problem is mainly that it's hard to maintain and also the trouble of installing it. Some have even added on Tec“s or peltiers as they are called to combine and get even better performance. Coolit has realized this and released their new Freezone cpu cooler that both have a watercooling setup and peltiers built in on the cooler. All you have to do is mount the waterblock on the cpu and mount the power cables and the system already has liquid and cables mounted.
We are going to test this vs the well performing air cooler named Zalman CNPS AM2 to see what type of temperature difference we can see.

The reviews I have seen on the product this far have been few but they all praise the product so I'm really curious now just how well it performs.
It came packged in this box with a big picture on the side with the unit itself. Inside you will find an "important" warning note, manual, and a few small zip lock bags with a letter on them.
The letters are there to make it easier to find the right mounting clips, the manual tells excatly which ones go where and how to mount them. I have to say that this is one of the best manuals I have seen for awhile with color pictures and excellent instructions on how to mount the block on different sockets.

If you have a 8 or 9 cm fan slot in the back of the case this unit can be mounted in it, this way you fold it out of the way. If you don't have this you can just mount it on the bottom of the case of course. There is a adapter as we can see so you can use a 9 cm fan slot. You also get two zip log bags with mounting pieces in various forms. The little card on the left is the thermal controller card that you mount everything into, this little card will control you unit. It's a simple little card with a few connectors and components.

At first sight I thought this device looked very weird, but after examining it for a minute I understand the reason it's constructed the way it is. The peltiers are mounted on the sides of the radiator and on the back a big 92 mm fan is mounted. In front of the radiator a 12V pump is mounted, usually a 12v pump is a bit louder than the normal pumps but I guess can be a exception, that is yet to see though.
The waterblock has thermal paste on it already, it's a grey weird thermal paste that is VERY sticky, I got some on my fingers and had trouble getting it of. I removed it with some tissue and cleaning gas and mounted some Artic Silver on the cpu instead. The block is quite small so it will be extremely interesting if it can keep our 4800+ dual core cool enough.
