Belkin 8in1 media reader USB 2

We reviewed a 8in1 media reader from Belkin like a year ago that was USB 1 and tonite we have their USB 2 reader on the test bench. This will be interesting to see the difference between USB 1 and USB 2. Media readers are great tools for people that use alot of different media or a seriell device to transfer data. Lets have a look how fast this new media reader from Belkin really is.

A remarkable result compared to the $100,000 in sales of that initial year.

Belkin has listened to us reviewers and made their packages easier to open, but they have still kept the nice plastic packaging. On the back there are tons of info like specifications etc.

It's very easy to open this as Belkin has made some changes on their plastic package so it's easier to open. Included here is the power adapter, cd with drivers and a manual.

This media reader is about the size of a credit card but a bit thicker... It has a nice modern color scheme as it goes in silver and black. On the right picture we can see the slots where all the media goes. This reader supports CompactFlash I, CompactFlash II, SmartMedia, Secure Digital, MultiMedia, IBM Microdrive, Memory Stick, and MagicGate™ Memory Stick. This should cover all the media you have.

On the bottom we find a sticker with some info. On the right we have the USB connector. The small connector goes into the reader and the big one into the computer.
