Asus EAH3870X2 Videocard Review
With the new 9600 GT cards we have a very close competition between Nvidia and ATI. Today we got one of these contenders on our test bench, to be more precis we have the 3870 X2 card from Asus to test. We have decided to run the card vs a 8800GTS 640mb and vs the well performing 8800GTX card. We will push the card through games and various benchmarks before we end up the review with the mandatory overclocking tests so stay tuned.

The product comes as you might see with a full version of Company of Heroes. The box already shows the size of the card as it is way bigger than standard boxes. Inside you will find with the card some cables but also a few cd´s with drivers, company of heroes, and a manul cd along with the manual itself and a cd wallet.

You also get a couple of cables and adapters as I said earlier, we recieved a molex to PCI-E converter, HDMI to DVI converter, VGA to DVI converter, and a S-video to RGB converter. This should cover most of your cable needs and make it easy to hook your videocard up to various devices.
The card itself is very colorful with a red cooler that has a woman on the top of it. You get a Crossfire adapter for your card also if you want to run two of these at the same time.

Even though the fan is 60 mm I feel Asus have made a good job tweaking the heat sensor so it runs pretty quiet during idle mode or surfing in windows.
You have two power adapters on the card and it seems one of them is 8 pin but you can also connect a 6 pin connector to that connector and the card will still function normal.
