Asetek Antarctica waterblock
Tonite we have a sweet looking waterblock on the test bench. Asetek sent us their new Antarctica waterblock for some testing.
We will have this baby running with both a P4 and a AMD rig so stay tuned if you are interested in seeing the result we come up with.

The product and the accessories arrived in a brown box that had padding all over inside it to prevent the block from getting damaged during shipping.
We have a bag with screws and other mounting accessories and a manual included with the block. They also sent abit of a hose but personally
I don't think it's enough for more than testing.

The block comes with another top (plexi) part for AMD setup and you can see part of it on the left picture. We can see the AMD top on the right picture.
The plexi top for the P4 is bigger and won't fit on AMD boards but I have to say that the change was very easy and even the tool is included.

The rubber sealing is included on both tops so you only have to remove four screws and then you are all ready to switch it. My question is now where are the fittings?
Well it seems like fittings are old now as you can find push on fittings which means you just have to push down the tubing all the way and you are ready to go.
Remember to check it twice to be sure though that they are connected. On the right picture we have the P4 top installed and we can see that there is a small difference sizewise on these.

Almost perfect finish on the bottom. I found no scratch nor any dents, all I found was a fingerprint on the side probably from the person packing it down :)
There is an excellent installation manual but I took some pictures from the installation procedure. I first put some washers on the screws which I then pushed through the holes so I could screw the "guides" on from the top.
