AMD XP 2800+

Well this product does probably not need any presentation. We recieved a AMD XP 2800+ from AMD which we are going to have a look at today. This is probably the best processor at the moment if you look at price/speed ratio. We are going to compare it to a 2600+ to see how much faster it really is. Let's get the testing going as we are testing it with Sisoft Sandra 2003, Pcmark2002, Pifast etc etc so this is going to be interesting.

The processor was covered in an anti-static bag and this black plastic box which has some gold print on it, which says AMD etc. This was a nice box and protected the processor very well during the trip over here.

Well it was time to open the little box and to see the beauty. In Sweden these goes for around 115$ which is cheap in my eyes. I did not get a good shot of the stepping so I will just type it out for you:
AMD Athlon
AXDA2800KV4D
AQXEA 0323 VPNW

Testing was done on the following rig:

AMD XP 2600+ Throughbred/2800+ Barton
Leadtek K7NcR18D Nforce 2
256mb 3200 Crucial DDR
60 GXP IBM 60 gig harddrive
Geforce 3 Ti200
Artic Silver 3
Liteon 16x cd burner
GMC Neo classic case

Testing was done against a AMD XP 2600+. Programs that were used was Pcmark2002, Sisoft Sandra 2004, Pifast, Ut2003,
