Alpahcool LC-Display 240x128 Pixel blue neg. black
It was quite sometime ago I reviewed something from Alpahcool but I am glad they got in touch with us again and sent us their new LC display to review. This little display can show you the following features; CPU, CPU-load, Networking Stats, Memory use, Winamp Titles, News-Feeds (i.e. BBC-World), Game Stats, Email details. My question is can you ask for something else and does it actually do all this? Well lets check out and see what we come up with in the review.

The display comes packed in a small bix that has an Alphacool logo on the bottom and it also displays a picture of the LC display itself. You can either get one in stainless steel or in black. The one that we got is black and I have to admit it looks quite nice. Inside I found a couple of cables, a cd with the software, and a small ziplock bag with four screws.

As I said earlier our display casing is black and this display takes up two 5.25 slots in the front of your case. It is easily mounted with screws or if your case has a non tool theme you won't even need them even though they are included.

The electronics in the back are not covered by anything which I find funny since usually people tend to push in extra cables and stuff into the 5.25 slots and there might be a chance to ruin this display if it shortcuts a component somehow. To connect it all you have to do is take the USB cable and plug the small side into the display and the big flat side to a USB port.
Now as I said in the beginning of the review this display displays several different functions from your computer and the first thing we show is the clock. It is a old fashion clock that can either show all the time or if you want to it will rotate the different functions around.

At the time when we took these pictures our test setup was lacking Winamp so in case you don't have Winamp installed it will show this picture and say that it did not find the program. When it is installed it will show the title and some functions from Winamp.
The media player display is similar to the Winamp one so if you run a sound clip or song it will show you the duration and also display the name.

This display can even show you info from FRAPS which is a software that usually records some time demos or specific runs you do in a FPS game.
In the current session sscreen you can see waht version of Windows you have, Pc name, User name, processes and threads.
