The NesteQ ASM 620W Power Supply arrived in a colorful box displaying pictures of the supply on the front with a list of features and specifications. I had never heard of the company NesteQ before; they are a German company that was formerly known as Elan Vital.

Opening up the package, we find the PSU nestled securely between a custom foam insert. As you can see, the NesteQ PSU comes with the cables hard-wired to the supply, as opposed to modular cables that can be detached. While modular cables are a little more convenient, they typically are less efficient than the hard-wired cables. With this PSU’s high efficiency (> 80%), the connected cables seem worth the effort. Along with the supply itself, the package comes with a power cable and instruction manual.

Taking a closer look at the PSU, the unit has stylish black matte finish with a single cooling fan, 120mm in size. The side panel lists the various rail outputs, with the 3.3V rail rated at 25A, the 5V rated at 30A, and the dual 12V rails rated at 18A and 30A. This supply offers some serious power that should be plenty for any SLI or gaming rig.
