Ace Mouse MLUC100 Laser 1600D Review
Today we are taking a look at the Ace MLUC100 mouse from Ace. This seems to be a fairly new company on the market but they seem to aim their market on the gamers with high quality products. Lets see what type of mouse they have released for gamers and also check out how it performs.
About Ace:
Ace launched its first line of cases and power supplies spring 2006, since then, we have become a well knowned and popular brand on the market. Our focus is to offer our market products that fit the need of an everyday user, without high price but with good quality. In 2008, Ace will launch its 3rd generation of products, feel free to browse our homepage to find out more about these.

At a first look the mouse somewhat reminds me of the Logitech Revolution, but there are some differences. Since this is our first time that we look at a Ace product we can see that they put alot of effort into the box itself with a detailed description of specifications and features.
On the back of the box you can see what functions all the different buttons have, of course these can be programmed to something else also.

When we open up the box we find a small manual, cd with drivers, and the mouse itself. I have to complain about the cd though as it locked up my software when we tried to read it with several dvd readers. I could not find the drivers/software on the website either which is a real flaw. I know the mouse works without the drivers but to get all the buttons to work you need the right software.
On the side of the mouse you will have two thumb buttons as with most mice on the market right now. They are at a comfortable height and are very easy to push and use.

The mousewheel feels nice and comfortable to use even for longer periods. You can scroll horizontal or vertical, at first the wheel might feel a bit stiff but it loosens up after using it for a little while. The mouse itself has a very glossy cover as we can see on the buttons which makes it very easy to clean but it also attracts alot of dirt and fingerprints.
This mouse has a class 1 laser, which is not horrible for your eyes but you should still avoid looking at it. The bottom is also quipped with four big mouse pads to give it better glide. I found this mouse to work very well in gaming and normal use due to the sensitivity and glide it had on our mousepads.

My Logitech MX Revolution is pretty much the same size as the Ace mouse. The have similar button configuration and look the same but the big difference is that the Ace mouse has a DPI switch on the top of the mouse that will allow you to change the DPI sensitivity on the fly without having to access the software.
Conclusion:
I think that this mouse is quite comfortable even to game with and I have not noticed any lagg or delays even in FPS games, this is because they have decided to make it corded instead of cordless.
Although it has a flaw or two but none of them actually apply the mouse, I have not found this mouse anywhere on the market and the software driver cd is bugged and nothing can be downloaded from the website. I just noticed that you can find this mouse only in Sweden at the moment so I hope they expand a bit more to supply North America with it also. Overall I like this mouse, it's comfortable and easy to use even for longer periods of time.
Pros:
+ Comfortable
+ Good looking
+ DPI switch
+ Big
Cons:
- Availability
- Software
Current Real Time Pricing
